March was a highly active month for PMF Industries, filled with community engagement, workforce development, and internal team building. From connecting with the next generation of skilled trades professionals to celebrating employee events, the momentum continues to build across the entire facility.
Cultivating the Next Generation of Manufacturing
Proactive community outreach remains a top priority. Throughout the month, PMF leadership and staff engaged with local students across multiple events to discuss the rewarding career paths available in advanced manufacturing.
- March 3: Attended the Penn College of Technology spring career fair. Engaging with highly motivated students led to multiple interviews and several official job offers.
- March 20: Participated in the SUN Area Technical Career fair, resulting in a new Co-Op position offer for a local student.
- March 24: Supported Montoursville High School at their first career fair in 20 years. PMF representatives built strong connections with faculty and educated students about local career options.
- March 25: Participated in the SUN Area Tech Occupational Advisory Committee meeting. Industry experts gathered to review and suggest updates for the Machining Program, with a specific focus on integrating AI technologies into the curriculum.
- March 26: Hosted Williamsport High School Machining students for an exclusive facility tour. Current PMF Co-Op student Andrew showcased a day in the life of a machinist, inspiring strong interest from his graduating classmates.
Employee Culture and Continued Growth
Building a strong internal culture is just as important as community outreach. March featured great opportunities for the team to connect and learn.
- March 4: The PMF billiards league wrapped up its season in the employee Rec Room. Congratulations to the first, second, and third-place winners on a great tournament.
- March 6: Hosted a company-wide Lunch & Learn. Executive Vice President and Director of Engineering Ken Healy presented updates on new business development and customer partnerships over pizza.
Expanding the Team
The push for top talent yielded excellent results. During the month of March, PMF conducted more than eight interviews and extended four official offers for employment.
