PMF Industries is on the move! Let’s recap the month of January 2026.
January 15th, we celebrated the retirement of Jeff Rainey, Tool and Die Machinist.
Jeff retired with 37 1/2 years at PMF. Jeff was very gifted with Tool and Die work. His experience and dedication will be missed. We wish Jeff and his family the very best in his retirement. Well deserved!
On January 16th, we had an interview with a student from SUN Area Tech, Colin Whitfield who had visited PMF for a tour in December with his class.
Colin liked what he saw at PMF and our Apprenticeship. Colin has applied for a Co-Op position while he finishes his Machining program at SUN. Colin did well in the interview and will be joining PMF in March 2026.
January 20th PMF hosted Kristi Karbacher, math teacher from Berwick High School.
Kristi spent two days in the shop observing math in our machine shop. The purpose is to bring real math problems to her classroom and show her students the way math is used in manufacturing. A part of her curriculum will be devoted to Math being used at PMF. Great stuff!
On January 21 PMF participated in a round table discussion at Keystone Central High School for a grant proposal for Workforce Development.
PMF along with other local employers were on hand to give our perspective of what type of work force development training we are looking for, Stay tuned to more to come with this!
January 23rd, we celebrated the retirement of Doug Lorson CNC Machinist.
Doug was with us for 3 years but had over 40 years of machining experience. Doug’s contributions will be missed for sure. We wish him the best in his retirement.
