Laser cutting is used for a variety of purposes, from creating preforms for flowformed components to producing complex shapes and detailed features on pipes and other tube-shaped products. It also eliminates the need for costly blanking tooling, dramatically reducing setup and processing times. PMF houses a powerful, 6,000 W CO2 laser capable of making clean, accurate cuts in 3/4" stainless steel sheet as well as other materials. Additionally, our large bed allows us to cut sheets measuring up to 60.0" in width x 120.0" in length while upholding tolerances as close as ±0.003". Laser cutting will work with most types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including high-temperature, high-strength alloys.
