Technical Sales Representative

The Technical Sales Representative will be the primary contact between PMF and our existing and prospective customers, promoting PMF’s capabilities to secure sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations for our manufacturing services.
• In conjunction with engineering determine process requirements including outsourcing.
• Secure orders and collaborate with production control to arrange deliveries.
• Explore improvements to meeting customer requirements in quality and cost.
• Attend Trade Shows representing PMF.
• Develop marketing strategies, i.e., LinkedIn, PMF’s website, etc.

• Acquire knowledge of our processes and capabilities to adequately represent PMF.

• Confer with customers to align their design with our processes.
• Interpret and communicate customer purchase order requirements to various departments, identify issues or concerns, and recommend resolutions.
• Stay abreast of latest developments within the industry.
• Visit customers to promote PMF’s capabilities, as required.
• Generate and follow up on sales leads.

Skills and Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Business/Finance with a manufacturing background. Sound judgment and good decision-making skills. Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Blueprint reading

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Must pass PMF’s pre-employment screenings, including: Functional Capacity Exam, background check, drug test and nicotine test.

Must learn:

• Solid Works and Job Boss – ERP system
• Geometric tolerances and drawing interpretation.

Physical Requirements

Office duty:  able to sit, stand and walk, lift up to 25 pounds.

In addition, able to set up show booth and transport parts and marketing materials.
