Drafting Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our engineering department. Responsibilities include: develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches; operate computer-assisted design (CAD); develop and prepare manufacturing instructions and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data; develop and prepare design sketches; complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets; check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data. The successful candidate must work closely with Engineering, Sales, Production and Quality Assurance in a hands-on capacity and become involved in engineering support projects and other technical-related activities of the company.  A qualified individual must have an Associate’s Degree in CAD and/or 3-4 years prior experience working with CAD software, Excel, MS Outlook, and Word. Experience using Solidworks and other 3D modeling programs is a huge plus. This position requires a person with excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the willingness to work in a team environment.
