Quality Assurance Technician

PMF Industries, a Williamsport contract job shop specializing in fabrications constructed of stainless steel and other formable alloys used in aerospace, pharmaceutical, food processing, micro-electronics and defense markets, is seeking a highly-motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

Quality Technician position is to support and help grow PMFs’ Quality management system. The Quality Technician will have a complete understanding of the ISO / AS standards and special process requirements as defined by Nadcap.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of the manufacture of parts to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods/processes
• Creation of PPAP, FMEA and control plan documentation
• Assuring customer requirements are being met during the manufacturing process
• Develop test methods and procedures to support part validation efforts
• Maintain test equipment to standards
• Generate test reports from validation testing using statistical process control (SPC) methods and coordinate improvement activities with proper departments
• Use quality problem solving tools for root cause analysis and corrective action
• Conduct Internal and External audits
• Understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machines and programming ability a plus

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to manage several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Must have prior experience working with geometric tolerancing and advanced blue print reading
• Experience in Excel, MS Outlook, Access, and Word
• Experience in ASME code requirements a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the willingness to work in a team environment
• Knowledge in AWS D17.1 welding specification
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in engineering/technical field or equivalent experience
• Five (5) years of experience in QA systems implementation and management
