Housing and Assembly
This part was made from both stainless steel and aluminum. PMF used
flowforming, welding, finishing, machining, and assembly to manufacture
this part, all part of PMF's FlowformingPlus
capabilities. PMF also used EMF (electromagnetic forming) for final
assembly.
Microelectronics Shield
This part was made from aluminum alloy. PMF's design and aluminum
fabrication experience allows us to manufacture many parts in one
piece, saving time, money and weight.
Large Flowformed Aluminum Shafts and Aluminum
Tubes constructed of 6061-T6 for military applications.
This aluminum alloy tube is over 6 feet long. PMF's flowforming
equipment can control the wall thickness over its length to a high
level of precision. The wall thickness can be designed to change
over the length of the part. Flowforming and machining aluminum
for these types of parts rather than using traditional spinning
to manufacture them yields superior parts.
Shims
These shims are cold-formed and precisely machined to create the
finished parts.
Funnel Sub Assembly
This funnel shaped part is used in the chemical industry and fits
larger processing machinery. Flowforming allows the part to have
precisely controlled wall thicknesses and extremely accurate dimensions,
part after part.
