PMF's utilizes the latest finite analysis computer programs, such as Deform® for the development of tooling for flowforming, deep drawing, hydroforming, heat treating, and welding processes. The tooling is designed in house using 3D models and virtually assembled to ensure precise fit to reduce the amount of development time.

PMF's in-house tooling department manufactures and maintains all tooling to ensure accuracy, reduce cost, and provide on-time delivery.

Each tool is uniquely identified and traceable. The tooling is stored in a climate controlled environment and inspected on a regular basis to ensure its suitability for manufacturing.  Typical tooling is manufactured from A2 or D2 tool steel and heat treated to a hardness strength of Rockwell 58C for longevity.
